PolyXBreaker®
Through new techniques, Continental has succeeded in improving the existing nylon breaker and replacing it for the new one: PolyXBreaker®. This protection was first developed for car tires and is now being used for the first time in the new Grand Prix. The basic material consists of polyester and as a special procedure this is woven in such a way that the density becomes extremely high and thus can be used as a light and very strong anti- puncture protection layer against thorns and sharp objects. PolyXBreaker® is very reliable and does not lose efficiency in rolling resistance and weight.
Black Chili Compound
Compound technology is the soul of every tire. This technology makes the difference between a basic tire and a higher class tire. In the secret recipe of a tire lies the basis why one tire rolls better than another, or why the grip of a tire is much better, where another tire is already slipping. The basic raw materials are generally known, but like a good wine, it depends on how creatively the producer handles additives in order to get a perfect end result.
